I discovered today that my sink is crazed and cracked all over the bottom of each bowl radiating out from the drains. I went online to do some research and email the supplier, and found out that it's likely the plumber over-tightened the drains which can cause the cracking.
Kitchen or bathroom sinks can easily crack if they are made of ceramic material. Apply a small amount of epoxy adhesive to the cracked area. Dampen the sponge and use the corner of the sponge to carefully wipe away any epoxy that surrounds the crack. Do not wipe over the crack since it will take time for the epoxy to dry. Causing a crack can start with a glass jar dropped into the sink. Or it could begin with an accidental blow with a hard object. Another cause could be thermal stress if scalding hot water is poured into a cold sink, or if you overtightened the sink drain. Clean the sink well with a few drops of dish detergent mixed with some warm water.
